Kettering, Ohio – The Kettering City Council announced that its September 14, 2021, Council workshop session and regular Council meeting have been canceled. Council normally meets on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month. However, Council currently has two unfilled seats in Districts 1 and 2. This leaves only five members on the seven-person Council. The seven-person Council requires that at least four members be present at a meeting to constitute a quorum. Council anticipated that at least two of the current five Council members would be absent at the planned September 14, 2021, meeting due to conferences and other prior commitments. Council will resume its normal meeting schedule on September 28, 2021.
The Kettering Zoning Board of Appeals also canceled its September 13, 2021, 7:00 P.M. meeting. This Board canceled their regularly scheduled meeting because of a lack of application requests. The Board’s meeting is Monday, September 27, 2021. Appeal applications for the September 27, 2021, meeting were due September 6, 2021. The Board also meets on October 11, 2021, and October 25, 2021.
