Kettering’s 33rd annual Art on the Commons Festival opens

Kettering, Ohio – The Kettering Department of Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Art’s 33rd annual Art on the Commons Festival opened September 13, 2021. The 2021 Art on the Commons Festival will run 10 weeks through November 20, 2021.

Kettering says, “We’re excited to showcase the region’s best ceramics, digital art, fiber/leather, glass, jewelry, mixed media, painting, photography, sculpture, works on paper and wood creations”. Each week will feature an exhibit by a different artist.

The 2021 Art on the Commons Festival will be a combined in-person and virtual event. Residents can view each of the 10 artists' artwork at the Kettering Rosewood Arts Centre, 2655 Olson Drive, Kettering, OH 45420. The Centre is opened Monday-Thursday, 10 A.M. – 9 P.M., Friday, 10 A.M – 5 P.M., and Saturday 10 A.M. – 3 P.M.

The festival will also feature artist demonstrations, talks, and interviews, which will all be presented as prerecorded videos. The community can view these videos at the festival’s webpage, https://www.playkettering.org/aotc2021/.

The 2021 Art on the Commons festival will feature works from Dan Cleary, Sharon Stolzenberger, Yetunde Rodriguez, Loretta Wikstrom, Priya Rama, Alison Fawcett, Debbie and Mike McGinnis, Sandra Picciano-Brand and David Brand, Karl Fent, and Dawna Boehmer.
