Kettering Health appoints new President, and President of Kettering Medical Center
Kettering, Ohio-Kettering Health, formerly the Kettering Health Network, recently announced that it was making two key organizational leadership changes. The Kettering-based health care provider announced that Wally Sacket was named President of Kettering Health and that Sharlet Briggs would take over as the new President of Kettering Medical Center.
Kettering Health is a non-profit faith-based health care provider that has 13 medical centers and 120+ outpatient facilities. Kettering Health has 1,800 physicians and employees more than 14,000 individuals.
Kettering Health said, “Kettering Health is making key leadership transitions to strengthen its senior executive team, positioning the organization for long-term success.” Sacket will oversee Kettering Health’s medical centers and service lines. Sacket will also be responsible for the organization’s clinical and nursing operations, and Kettering Health’s mission and culture.
Briggs will lead Kettering Health’s flagship hospital, the Kettering Medical Center. Brigs will be the first woman to take on this role for Kettering Health.
Both Sacket and Britts were promoted from within the organization. Sacket joined Kettering Health in 2007. He served as President of Kettering Medical Center for three years. He is credited with multiple operation improvements and facility expansion. Sacket also led Kettering Medical Center through the onset of the COVID-19 Pandemic. Sacket has worked in healthcare administration for nearly four decades.
Briggs joined Kettering health earlier in 2021 as Kettering Medical Center’s Chief Operating Officer. In her short time with Kettering Health, Briggs is credited with enhancing the hospital’s operational efficiency and building relationships throughout the organization. Briggs has spent most of her career working for Adventist Health. Immediately prior to joining Kettering Health, Brigs was President of Adventist Health Bakersfield.
