Kettering, Ohio – The Kettering City School system is hiring. The District is currently recruiting for Substitute Teachers, Substitute Paraprofessionals, and Substitute Bus Drivers.

Kettering says substitute teachers follow daily objectives and lesson plans, supervise and manage classroom activities, keep children safe, and follow school and district policies. Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree and must pass a pre-employment background and drug test. If selected, substitutes can select the days they work, and the schools they work in.

The District is also seeking Substitute Paraprofessionals. Applicants for these positions must have a High School Diploma and meet State requirements, including passing a pre-employment background and drug screening.

Substitute Teachers are paid $105 per day and Substitute Paraprofessionals are paid $11.50 per hour. Kettering is also hiring substitute bus drivers. The district is looking for applicants who already have a Class B CDL with an S&P Endorsement, but the district will also consider training qualified applicants without these qualifications. The position pays $15.00 per hour, and the District says that the job has no fixed schedule. The District is also advertising for full-time bus driver positions with a salary of $18.44 to $23.77 per hour. The full-time vacancies include a full benefits package, including medical & dental insurance, life insurance, and paid training. Full-time drivers are guaranteed at least 22.5 hours of work per week. Interested applicants should apply in person at 2640 Wilmington Pike, Kettering, Ohio 45419.
