Four spooky fun things for Kettering residents to do this weekend!

Kettering, Ohio – It’s the weekend and fall is definitely in the air in Kettering. That means that it is almost time for the streets to be full of ghosts, goblins, and other ghouls to be out and about celebrating Halloween So here are four activities going on in and around Kettering this weekend to get you into the Halloween spirit..

The Blatt Group Boo Bash Logo - The Blatt Group

1. The 2nd Annual Blatt Group Boo Bash will be held Saturday, October 23, 2021. The event will be at Delco Park at Shelter 1. Boo Bash will run from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.

The Blatt Group, which is a Miami Valley Real Estate Broker, will host the event. They invite attendees to dress in costumes but say that costumes are not required. Boo Bash will feature food, drinks, and “witch’s brew. If this sounds fun, give it a try – the Blatt Group says that “We’re dying to see you!!”.

2. The Greenmont-Oak Park Community Church United Church of Christ invites residents to their Trunk or Treat event. The event will take place Sunday, October 24, 2021, from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. Trunk or Treat will be held in the Church’s parking lot at 1921 Woodman Drive, Kettering. Organizers say Trunk or Treat will take place rain or shine, but that the event will take place inside the Church’s facilities if it rains.

There are two ways to participate in Trunk or Treat. You can set up your car in the Church’s parking lot to hand out candy, or you can take your children to the event to visit those handing out candy. If you are taking your child to trunk or treat, the Church says that you should park next door at Ascension. The Church’s parking lot will only be available to those handing out candy and will be blocked at 3:30 P.M.

3. The Kettering Recreation Center invites residents to join in the fun of a Halloween Open Skate. This is an ice skating event held at the Kettering Recreation Center Ice Rink at 2900 Glengarry Drive, Kettering. The Halloween Skate will take place Saturday, October 23, 2021, from 1:45 P.M. to 3:45 P.M. The cost of the program is $5 for Kettering residents and $10 for non-Kettering residents. The event fee includes the cost of skate rental, and pre-registration for the event is not required – just show up and skate away.

The Halloween Open skate is a family-friendly event open to all ages. The Kettering Recreation Center invites participants to come skate in their favorite Halloween costume. However, organizers say that costumes must be safe to skate in. So, organizers caution that costumes cannot touch the ground and costume masks cannot be worn during skating. However, COVID-19/medical masks are still permitted.

Rock n' Roll Putt Putt Flyer - Your Adventure Golf

4. Although it’s a little bit of a drive, Your Adventure Golf is hosting what sounds to be a fun Halloween miniature golf event. Adventure Golf invites you to their 2021 Rock n’ Roll Putt Putt Costume Party. The fun begins at 7:00 P.M. on October 23, 2021, at Your Adventure Golf at 615 Miamisburg Centerville Road, Dayton.

Your Adventure Golf invites participants to play miniature golf while dressed in Halloween costumes. In addition, the event will feature live music from Mums https://www.facebook.com/daytonmums, No Balance nobalancesux.bandcamp.com, and Black Sire https://blacksire.bandcamp.com/

The Rock n’ Roll Putt Putt Costume Party costs $20 per participant, but those who wear a costume receive a $5 discount. The admission fee includes two rounds of miniature golf and live music. Your Adventure Golf says they are keeping everyone safe from COVID-19 by sanitizing the putters and balls used by customers. In addition, dress for the elements, as Your Adventure Golf is an open-air facility.
