The Ohio High School Athletic Association releases high school football playoff brackets
Kettering, Ohio – On Sunday, October 24, 2021, the Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) released the brackets for the first round of the 2021 OHSAA High School varsity football playoffs.
The 2021 playoffs are the 50th annual postseason tournament in Ohio. This year 448 schools qualified for the playoffs. The 448 schools are divided into 7 divisions based on school size and geographic location. Each division is also divided into multiple regions.

Divisions 1, 2, 3, and 4 will play Friday nights at 7:00 P.M. Division 5, 6, and 7 will play their games Saturday nights at 7:00 P.M. During the first two weeks of the playoffs, games will take place at the home field of the higher-seeded team from each game. Once the tournament reaches the Regional Semifinals in the third week, all games will be played on neutral sites.
Greater Western Ohio Conference (GWOC) teams have been assigned to Division 1, Region 2. Here are the week 1 matchups for GWOC teams.
#9 Kettering-Fairmont Firebirds (6-4) at #8 Perrysburg (7-3).
#15 Northmont Thunderbolts (3-6) at #2 Springfield Wildcats (8-1)
#14 Dublin Coffman (3-7) at #3 Wayne Warriors (8-2)
#12 Springboro Panthers (5-4) at #5 Centerville Elks (7-3)
#11 Miamisburg Vikings (6-4) at #6 Findlay (7-3)
The winless Beavercreek Beavers are not participating in the post-season tournament.
The remaining games in Division 1, Region 2 will feature.
#16 Delaware Hayes (3-7) at #1 Marysville (9-0)
#13 Toledo Start (5-5) at (Toledo Whitmer (8-2)
#10 Powell Olentangy Liberty (5-5) at #7 Dublin Jerome (6-4)
