Shooting reported in Kettering

Kettering, Ohio – The Kettering Police Department received a report of a shooting on November 29, 2021. A caller called 911 at approximately 5:57 A.M. to report a shooting at 5701 Montgomery Square, Kettering.

The Kettering Police Department released the recording of the 911 call. The recording indicates that the caller reported hearing an argument between several individuals in an apartment. The caller also said that they saw a physical fight between two light-skinned black males. The caller said the fight appeared to be about a female in the apartment. The 911 caller told the 911 operator that one of the males took out a gun and shot the other male. The caller stated that the victim appeared to be shot in the hand and had blood in the torso area of his body. The caller also said that the victim appeared to be moving okay and returned to the apartment. The 911 call also indicated that the alleged shooter left the scene following the incident.

In a press release, the Kettering Police Department stated that when officers arrived at the scene, there was no sign of either the alleged shooter or the victim. The Department also stated that officers secured the scene and that Detectives are investigating the incident. The Department said that they will release additional information about the incident as it becomes available for release.
